I am a platform, product, and operations leader with more than 20 years of experience building, modernizing, and supporting revenue-critical digital systems.
My work sits at the intersection of business operations, product strategy, engineering execution, and long-term platform stewardship. I help teams turn complex operational requirements into practical systems that improve workflow clarity, reduce manual coordination, support revenue processes, and keep critical platforms moving as the business scales.
My background spans platform architecture, CMS and operational tooling, workflow automation, advertising and revenue systems, analytics/reporting workflows, web and mobile products, and customer-facing digital experiences. I have led projects from early discovery and requirements definition through architecture, development, launch, optimization, and ongoing support.
I have particular experience working with complex platform environments where business stakeholders, operators, product teams, and engineers all depend on the same systems but often see different parts of the problem. I focus on aligning those groups, clarifying priorities, reducing friction, and creating technology roadmaps that support real operational outcomes.
Over the course of my career, I have helped build and support platforms for media networks, streaming services, private screening systems, live event products, AI interfaces, data products, and other digital businesses with demanding workflow and reliability needs.
Core areas of focus include:
I bring a hands-on technical background, product sensibility, and operational mindset to every engagement. My goal is to help teams build systems that are not only well engineered, but understandable, maintainable, and aligned with how the business actually operates.
I was responsible for creating and maintaining corporate and client websites. I interacted daily with the CTO and CEO to determine business goals, allocate resources, and manage teams for ongoing and new projects. I also managed third-party projects and ensured quality assurance.
To manage the websites effectively, I implemented techniques and procedures, determined client requirements and goals, and customized website design options. I maintained optimal website performance for both clients and corporate sites.
Additionally, I worked with clients to understand their website creation and management needs, prepared website design specifications, and coordinated with them to ensure quality work.
Finally, I developed and maintained the corporate Content Management System and provided support for the company's mobile apps.
I provided management, oversight, and direction to the organization's electronic commerce and electronic business efforts.
I developed and executed marketing strategies to promote products and services directly to online customers and conduct transactions on an Internet website.
I was responsible for Website Development/Maintenance using CMS, ASP.NET Code, SQL Server, HTML, and Graphics. I participated in the design and implementation of website marketing plans, developed and managed marketing tests and new programs. I managed five direct reports, including CSR and Web Developers.
I established entrepreneurial goals for the company's electronic commerce, ensuring the website achieved marketing objectives and adhered to quality standards regarding appearance and content that increased sales, reduced distribution and other costs, and reduced time and labor.
I provided market analysis and definition for product growth within the market segment. I identified, managed, and evaluated ongoing web alliances and partnerships.
I worked with third-party vendors and was responsible for the final code review and deployment to the website. I managed day-to-day content and interfaced with B2B, B2C, Customer Service, Consumer Services, IS, Marketing, Refinery, Aviation, Lubricants and Home Heat divisions and other departments and vendors to create content.
My ongoing duties included code review, QA, implementation strategy, and scheduling deployments. I analyzed, recommended, and developed all site UI enhancements and improvements, managed all vendor relationships, and supervised a group of consultants. I planned, built, and managed technical upgrades to the site, attended executive meetings, and advised the company on web-related issues and strategy.
I managed 50+ domain names and was responsible for site statistics and Google Analytics. I was involved in all aspects of vendor selection and management, oversaw and redesigned all aspects of the B2C website, and wrote all ASP, HTML, CSS, Ajax, and JavaScript code while designing the site database.
I worked on the site's conversion to the .Net platform, built all tables, and wrote queries and stored procedures for the SQL Server. I increased web traffic and improved usability, responding to users' requests and usability studies, and creating a more efficient web interface with consumer services, thus reducing their email response load.
I built several micro-sites for the company's marketing campaigns, implemented an online Price Protection Program where customers could pre-buy heating oil at a set price for the season, and designed and built an online gas pricing application where truckers could check on gasoline pricing at Canada's Truck Stops. Prices were updated by the internal Fleet team using the CMS system.
I administered two web servers (Test and Production) and a database server (MS SQL Server) on a heavily trafficked consumer site, built a Content Management System, and translated printed company material to the web.
As a webmaster, I was responsible for the development and administration of the entire corporate Internet and Intranet site. My responsibilities included front-end design, back-end relational database design and development using HTML, JavaScript, DHTML, ASP, CFML, SQL and testing methodologies.
I excelled at creating standards-compliant websites from given Comps. I developed unique database-driven CMS in both ASP and Cold Fusion, which enabled the clients to generate web pages, sections of web pages, and email newsletters dynamically, without having to know any HTML.
My focus was on usability issues in website design, and I strived to incorporate the next wave of technology improvements suggested by the W3C. I ensured that websites worked on all platforms and browsers, with a specific focus on forward compatibility, without alienating older browsers.
As a past web development team leader, I directed a group of 6 developers, ranging from junior to senior level with expertise in VB, ASP, and Cold Fusion.
I negotiated design and functionality issues with HTML designers, e-commerce producers, and technical developers and explained technical issues and hurdles to work for consensus.
Additionally, I guided the development of other internal web applications, evaluated new projects for the Web group, and managed the in-house Intranet application with a comprehensive range of features and functionality. Finally, I was involved in the concept generation and web content for the corporate Internet and Intranet site.
I designed and created the company's first internet and intranet sites and developed an e-commerce application for the User Conference and designed several Flash applications.
I was responsible for the administration and maintenance of applied semantics internal and external websites. I provided Q & A for the web sites and worked within a team environment as both a developer and a project manager. I used various web and software technologies such as HTML, DHTML, Flash, ASP, CSS 1 and 2, and JavaScript.
Additionally, I integrated MS Access and SQL Server to create a database-driven web site and developed a Content Management System.
